A home that fits the woman you are now.

Interior designer based in East Devon, where I live with my two girls and our dog. Home has never been one fixed place for me. Over the years I've moved countries four times, made a home on three continents, and started again more times than I can properly count.

Each move asked me to become someone slightly different; to learn a new place, a new rhythm, sometimes a new language, and to work out who I was in it.

Every time, I had to decide what came with me and what I left behind. Not just the furniture, but the versions of myself that belonged to the life before. Some things I carried for years out of habit, or because letting go felt too final. Others I released and never missed. Learning the difference, that's taken me most of my life.

None of it was as romantic as it sounds. Starting again is disorienting. There's a stretch, sometimes months long, where you're surrounded by boxes and old furniture that doesn't quite fit the new life, wondering if you'll ever feel like yourself again. I've stood in that exact spot more than once, in more than one country, and I remember every time how much I longed for the home around me to simply feel like mine.

But I've also learned the relief on the other side of it, the moment a home finally clicks and becomes unmistakably yours. That's the feeling I try to create for the people I work with.
